Our Story
In 2012, when thousands of Syrian families fled to Egypt in search of safety, three women—Rasha Aboulemaati, Eman Elkhoy, and Heba Murad—refused to stand by and watch. They believed that every person, no matter their circumstance, deserved dignity, opportunity, and hope.
What began as a small act of volunteering soon grew into a movement. In 2013, that movement became the Fard Foundation—an organization built on compassion, equality, and the unwavering belief in people’s potential.
Together, the founders created spaces where children could return to learning, where men and women could gain skills to rebuild their livelihoods, and where communities could find strength in unity. Their vision transformed Fard into a trusted voice for refugees and vulnerable Egyptians, recognized for turning moments of crisis into pathways of resilience.
The story of Fard is the story of people lifting one another, of hope turning into action, and of a shared belief: that when individuals are given the chance to grow, they can transform not only their own lives but also their communities.
